The Triple Gem Buddhist Foundation

The Triple Gem Buddhist Foundation (TGBF) exists as a vehicle to support a range of socially engaged initiatives which all have their source and inspiration in the establishment of a culture of awakening. Although inspired by the Dhamma teachings of the Buddha, TGBF is a non-denominational and secular organisation that invites support from well-intentioned practitioners from any and all Buddhist traditions.

The Triple Gem Buddhist Foundation is a  UK charity which supports a range of activities including organising mindfulness and related courses and events, the provision of Dhamma teaching and publications, and providing analyses of social issues and contemporary events.

TGBF emphasises practical and responsible involvement in society. We want  to educate the broader public in the many helpful psychological practices that are to be found in Buddhist teachings.

We believe that behaviour based upon generosity, virtue, compassion and wisdom has a profound and positive impact on both ourselves and others. And that skilful behaviour is intimately connected with skilful thinking, and our intention is to encourage inclusive approaches through  teaching, information sharing and dialogue.

We also wish to encourage the  establishment of a broad 'Buddhist community' of individuals from all backgrounds and walks of life who have been inspired and helped by the Buddha's teachings and wish to communicate and collaborate with like-minded individuals.

As TGBF is a vehicle, we expect to become involved in a growing number of activities over time.
